Anishinsabe have no word for good bye (in the Ojibwe language):
“For us, life is a circle. After something or someone enters our circle, they travel with us forever, influencing us even if they are not physically present. To us there is no such thing as goodbye”.
These Memorials are a celebration of gratitude for people who acted as social pioneers in the Institutes work
since the early 1960s and continued pioneering in their later lives. Many stories have been told and recordings shared
that celebrate these great lives.
A colleague recently commented about his experience reviewing these postings, “Let me warn you – this is a profound gift in which you may lose yourself. It will feed your soul. It occurs to me that anyone looking for one more or a new way to engage the Mystery might choose to stop by this page on a regular basis and catch up with old friends and colleagues.”
