Kathy Rice
Obituary
Kathy earned a teaching degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and taught music at various school districts in Nebraska. At age 40, she followed her dream of becoming a Methodist minister through St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri. She served at multiple Methodist churches across Nebraska.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Helen Rice. Survived by siblings, Barbara (Fred) Vanecek, David (Chris) Rice, and Steve (Kristi Rutledge) Rice; and nieces and nephews, Adam Rice, Mandy Rice, Nathan Rice, Spencer Rice, Aubri Rice, and Matthew Vanecek.
Kathy and I were roommates in 5th City. We both taught in the 5th City Preschool.(1974-75). She was a good friend. She made my Wedding Dress and Cakes for my wedding. She was there maybe one year after I moved to Amarillo with Roger.
Before 5th City, she was in the Lincoln House.
