More Than Halfway to Somewhere

John Burbidge’s recent book, MORE THAN HALFWAY TO SOMEWHERE, may look like a collection of travelers’ tales, but probe a little deeper and you could be surprised by what you find. As one reader noted, it’s “a captivating blend of memoir, history, geography and human connections that whisks you away from the predictable toward rich encounters with the other.”

Using the book to launch the discussion, Nancy Trask will host this event, which will include:

• • an interview with John

  • sharing of participants’ travel stories, and

  • a discussion on how our lives have been changed by living and working in other cultures.

The event is scheduled for April 26^th at 7:00 pm CST in North America, and the following day in Taiwan (8:00 am), Australia (11 am AEST) and India (5:30 am). If there is sufficient interest from people in other time zones, a second session could be scheduled.
