ICA Global Archives Sojourn

The ICA Global Archives Team is holding its next sojourn 16-30 July 2023.

Results of two 2022 sojourns:

• In July the archives of ICAs in Africa were scanned and a Memorials page was launched on the website to celebrate the lives of colleagues.

• Since the July sojourn, the Archives has been indebted to Ed Feldmanis for his commitment to scan selected files into PDFs (approximately 12 hours a week). After files are scanned, Wendell Refior turns the PDFs into links for adding to the Archives website. Alan Gammel and myself then add the links to the website.

• In December colleagues revisited Uptown Chicago community work, six projects in Latin America, and the India files.

Our focus in July 2023 will be on the Global Research Assemblies and Councils (1966-2012) that shaped the work of the EI/ICA over the years. As always there may be other passions arise for locating other archive gems for the website.
