Glimpses of Life Phase V: ages 80-100

In a lively conversation on May 12th, participants shared their experiences and learning about living – or anticipating – Life Phase V:  ages 80-100.  Questions that were reflected on ranged from:

• • What are the gifts and challenges you have experienced during this phase of life?
  • What are feelings and anticipations you have had?
  • Who or what has helped you during this time?
  • What wisdom has now become a part of your life

At almost 84 Judy Lindblad and Ellen Howie have found a few ways to face and navigate this new phase and look forward to hearing and sharing your insights, ideas and stories. They have collaborated for years, giving retreats, art shows, authoring poetry books, raising funds in support of ICA and serving on the USA Board.  Along with their husbands Norm and Dick, they chaperoned the 7th and 8th grade trip to Washington, DC in 1984 during the Global Order Council (and a heatwave). Each has experienced caring for a family member needing assistance while creating self-care to enable that care.
